What is Datto SaaS Defense?
Datto SaaS Defense is an Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) security solution specifically designed to protect the Microsoft 365 suite of applications (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams) from incoming security threats. Created exclusively for MSPs, it is an API cloud-based solution hosted on Microsoft Azure. Datto SaaS Defense uses data-independent technology enabling it to detect a threat the first time it is encountered. It analyzes the composition and transmission paths of Microsoft 365 application content that is received securely and creates a proper execution model for each application. Incoming data transmissions are compared to the applicable execution model and if variances are detected, Datto SaaS Defense blocks the threat.
